“Then Peter said…’In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.'”

– Acts 3:6 NIV

On the subject of living with eternity in mind and living an invested life in Christ, what if Peter felt his denial of Christ was beyond God’s ability to restore him? That what Christ accomplished on the cross was insufficient to redeem him from his sin, failing to live out what he desired in his heart. What if Peter allowed the reality of his failure in denying he knew Christ to haunt him for the rest of his life living with regret over his failure to remain faithful and loyal to Christ in the face of adversity and the threat of persecution in being associated with Christ the night Jesus was condemned to be crucified.

Fortunately for Peter, and us, God’s plan of salvation covers over a multitude of sins past, present and future so we can learn to walk in the authority of Jesus’ name and the anointing of God’s power, through the inspiration of His word and the intimate relationship of His Holy Spirit living on the inside of everyone who believes in His Son. Peter embraced the promise of redemption and restoration Jesus preached during the 3 year tenure of His earthly ministry that positioned Peter to have the encounter with the beggar born crippled in the book of Acts.

In life we will have regrets, but we don’t have to live in regret. There is no more condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus! Christ came to set me free from regret, shame, guilt and self-blame. Besides, God works everything together for good, including our regrets, for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. He who the Son of Man sets free is free to live with no regrets to inspire others to walk by faith in the name of Jesus Christ, by the authority of His name and the anointing of His person, presence and power at work in the hearts and minds of those who believe! As Christ inspires you, let Him, through you, inspire someone else to walk by faith!

May God bless you and help you to live without fear and regret in the face of adversity and opposition to the great door of opportunity He has set before you regarding your future so you may experience the fullness of life Christ came for you to have.
