“Rather clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.”

– Romans 13:14 NIV

Beyond the moment of my initial conversion to Christ through my confession of Him as the Son of God raised from the dead, it is God’s desire that I become like Him in how I live. Beyond my confession, God wants me to be conformed into the image of Jesus Christ. In the same way Jesus Christ walked in the authority and power of God and experienced the fullness of the Deity working in and through Him through what He encountered as He walked the earth, so it is also God’s desire for me to experience His authority and power now that Christ lives in me.

One who chooses to become a living sacrifice for Jesus makes a deliberate decision to live and walk as Jesus did and sincerely seeks to invest their lives, on the earth, for the advancement of God’s kingdom for the display of God’s splendor. “From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it.” – Matthew 11:12 NIV Beyond what we have known and what we can see, there is an unseen world and life for those who desire to encounter the extraordinary that God promises and proclaims in His word through the life of His Son Jesus Christ. To clothe myself with Christ is to be intentional about being conformed to His image, having the sincere desire to experience the fulfillment of being made in the image of God and the likeness of Jesus Christ.

“The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, because the kingdom of God is within you.” – Luke 17:20b, 21b Through faith in Christ, we have been granted authority and power by God to live the victorious spiritual life He promises and proclaims for all who believe that they may learn to live and walk as Jesus did. Faith in Christ positions us to experience the fullness of life Christ came for us to have. As we demonstrate the proper posture of faith and humility that provides us access to the throne room of heaven to receive from God every spiritual blessing needed to prevail against and overcome the dark forces of this world and unseen spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms, God will manifest His kingdom in and through us for the display of His splendor.

May God bless you and help you to be clothed with the LORD Jesus Christ, experiencing His authority and power, so you may experience the fullness of life Christ came for us to have.
